Questions people actually ask
What happens to my page if I stop paying?
It keeps working. A short name is a paid feature, so it stops routing and your page goes back to being at your handle — but the name stays reserved to you and starts working again the moment the subscription does. Nothing is deleted, because your links were never in our database to delete.
Do I need a Bluesky account?
You need an atproto account, and a Bluesky one is the easiest kind to already have. On Creator you can open one on Linker’s own server instead, which is what makes your page independent of anyone else staying online.
Where are my links actually stored?
In your atproto repo, as cool.linker.link records — the same repo your posts live in. Linker reads them to draw the page. If you leave, they leave with you, and they were readable by anything that speaks atproto the whole time.
Why is there no free trial of Creator?
Because the free tier is not a trial. It is a page you can use forever. Creator is worth paying for when you want the address to be yours, and that is a decision you can make without a countdown.
Can I move a page to a client, or to myself?
That is what Business is being built around, and it is why the waitlist exists rather than a buy button. The groundwork is already there: an account on our server is a real atproto account, so handing it over is a transfer rather than an export.
